The Shape of Things to Come is an immersive art installation that uses air quality data for a given area in an interactive way.

Technical summary

A central Python script retrives pollution data via the Atmosud API and human motion tracking from sensors inside the installation (Arduino or Augmenta). It then interprets and integrates this data to control various light scenarios, sent to the MadMapper pixel mapping software which projects it onto RGB LED fixtures with the PixLite mk16 controller card. This script can be automatically executed on a daily basis during an exhibition.
